Workshop title: 2018: An Educational Odyssey
Brief description: I joined an ‘outstanding’ school in September 2016; by November 2016, the school was judged to ‘require improvement’. The overall Progress 8 score at the end of the 2016-17 academic year was -0.3. From my perspective as a teacher and senior leader, I want to tell you about the programme of English interventions that have run this year to help raise KS4 achievement in the short term and also about how we’ve started to make big changes to our approach to curriculum design, assessment, and teaching and learning.
