What I do

Brief biography:          I am an Assistant Head of English at a Local Authority run secondary school in Southampton with responsibility for Key Stage 3 and supporting the most able. I am moving to a Bournemouth school in September as Lead Practitioner for whole school teaching and learning.

What I want to tell you about

Workshop title:         Challenging high attaining students in areas of disadvantage

Brief description:      The session will specifically focus on the problems faced by higher attaining students in areas of disadvantage, and will cover some strategies that I have found effective for supporting and challenging them in their English lessons.
